Mr Graham White

I joined the NSG in 2002 and have been its Treasurer since 2004.

During my career in the Inland Revenue up to 2001 I served as a local tax inspector and as a management consultant. My work entailed extensive travelling throughout the UK and a few changes of residence before I moved to Nottingham in 1991. Wherever I have lived I have tried to play an active role in the community. My 60 years of voluntary work have included venture scout leadership and holding office for branches of a trades union, Christian Aid, Action Aid and the Dystonia Society. I have been interested in medical research for many years and have participated in or helped to organise small projects.

I have met many people who have suffered from neurodegenerative and other disabling diseases. This has made me realise how lucky I am to enjoy excellent health and inspired me to do all I can to help those less fortunate than me. Serving the NSG is one of the ways I can do this.

Currently I am a Vice- President of the Numismatic Society of Nottinghamshire, Treasurer of Wollaton Science and Technology Club and a member of Wollaton Probus Club and the Canal & River Trust. My other interests include, canoeing, walking and gardening.
