Focus on Research

Welcome to our homepage.Button

We have supported world-class research at the Queen’s Medical Centre and the University of Nottingham relating to some of the major neurodegenerative diseases (ND) since 1990. The research work into these diseases, which have such a devastating effect on the lives of those who suffer from them and their families, is financed mainly by government research bodies and national charities.

We provide finance, which is not available from elsewhere, for new equipment, supplies and grants towards the training and research projects of young scientists at the start of their careers.

The main neurodegenerative diseases, which affect all races and cultures, are:-
